I am a postdoctoral research associate based at University of Sheffield. Before working as a PDRA, I studied Physical Geography (BSc) then an MSc in Polar and Alpine Change also at the University of Sheffield, before completing a PhD at the University of St Andrews in 2021. My research centres on understanding how changes in atmospheric and oceanic conditions affect the flow and mass balance of the Greenland and Antarctic Ice Sheets, using a combination of satellite remote sensing, fieldwork and numerical modelling of ocean circulation.
I’ve been extremely fortunate to have had the privilege of working with many researchers around the world, which has been a great pleasure as well as extremely beneficial to my work, leading to outcomes that would not otherwise have been possible. As international collaboration officer, I aim to provide more opportunities (and more effective opportunities!) for UK early-career researchers to work with polar researchers from around the world, so that new and exciting collaborations and professional relationships can develop, ultimately creating a rich, supportive and dynamic community of early-career polar researchers.
Outside of my research, I enjoy running and climbing in the mountains!
