Background:

Domino Jones is a PhD researcher at the University of Liverpool, modelling a Greenlandic tidewater glacier’s advance and retreat over the last 1000 years. They are mainly interested in the calving-climate relationship and how it can parameterized in glacier models.

Domino is also an illustrator, making comics for science communication. Their first comic, “1000 Years,” presents their PhD project abstract. Their second comic, “Ice and Science,” celebrates cryosphere researchers and features stories from 5 UK-based scientists.

Outside of academia, Domino enjoys hiking and camping in North Wales.
