Background:

Leeza Pickering is a PhD student at Northumbria University. Her research focuses on reconstructing and modelling lake mixing regimes in southern Finland and how these changes will affect the gas composition within the lake and the potential consequences for this. Prior to her PhD, Leeza worked as an environmental consultant working across the UK as well as in countries such as Iraq and Guyana helping advise on a variety of environmental projects such as power and water infrastructural development and mangrove inventory mapping. Outside of work, Leeza loves tending to her small holding with her horses and hiking with her dog across the UK countryside.
