Background:

I am a third year PhD student at the University of Bath, studying atmospheric gravity waves in the middle atmosphere using various satellite data. Understanding these waves is necessary for the development of better global climate models, which can help us to forecast how the Earth will change in the future.

I completed my M.Sc. at Aberystwyth University in Planetary Physics, which gave me the opportunity to live in Svalbard for half a year, opening my eyes to how fantastic and interesting polar science could be. This led me to join SIOS (Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System) as an ECR observer for the remote sensing working group, who have given me the chances to go back up to Svalbard that my PhD would otherwise not be able to.

When I’m not studying, I like to spend my time outside, either in my garden or further afield camping under the stars.
