Background:

Polina is a polar climate scientist researching the impact of climate change on polar ice sheets and sea level rise. She has just completed a Master’s at Cambridge, her project based at the British Antarctic Survey, in the Ice Dynamics and Paleo climate Team.

In her role at UKPN, she organises conferences, bringing together interdisciplinary polar researchers. Polina is engaged in the relationship between polar scientists and policymakers, and is passionate about using expeditions for climate communication.
