Background:

I am a postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh, currently undertaking an MSc in Environmental Protection and Management. Prior to starting my masters, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Geography at King’s College London. This equipped me with experience teaching in two outer London schools, where I developed an appreciation for the importance of the inclusion of polar regions in the secondary curriculum and effective teacher engagement in research to captivate the next generation of polar researchers. I have a BSc in Geography from Durham University, which included a year of study at the University of Calgary, Canada.
