Background:
I am currently a Research Assistant at Imperial College London working in carbon storage in the Southern Ocean, looking at the carbon stored by krill of different sizes and at different temperatures at the Australian Antarctic Division’s Krill Aquaria in Tasmania. I have a BSc in Marine Geography from Cardiff University, and an MRes in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation from Imperial College London, where I worked with researchers from ICL, the British Antarctic Survey, Plymouth Marine Lab and the Zoological Society of London.
I am interested in conservation ecology and quantitative community ecology, marine management policy and climate change, especially relating to biogeochemistry. I’ve got more than 5 years experience working in secondary schools as a cover teacher, and as a teaching assistant and supervisor for undergraduate and masters students at Imperial.
