Background:

Beth is a PhD student at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, researching carbon storage in Arctic marine sediments. Fascinated by the ecosystem services our world provides, she is particularly interested in the ocean’s ability to store carbon, acting as a nature-based solution to mitigating climate change and how these processes may be altered by human actions. Her research is focused in the fjords on the West coast of Greenland where she has conducted fieldwork onboard a research cruise. When she’s not researching, as a keen trail and ultra runner, you’ll find Beth out running in the Scottish Highlands.
