Background:
I am currently a final year PhD student in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge.
Although not a polar scientist, I have a huge interest in polar stratospheric cloud chemistry and ozone destruction. A dream of mine would be to become a polar pilot assisting scientific research.
I completed an MSci in Physical Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge in 2015, which was where I was first introduced to atmospheric chemistry and was struck by its complexity and beauty. Prior to starting my PhD, I have had experience as a Maths and Physics secondary school teacher with a short stint at NASA looking at potential life on Mars. I am a huge believer in the power of education and how simple outreach experiences can spark a fire in young children that lasts a lifetime. Myself being one of those children! This has lead me to co-host several online lessons for children to share my love for technology and science.
I am very excited to be a part of UKPN this year and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do together.
