Co-head of Education and Outreach, 2018 – 2019

I am currently a final year PhD student working with the University of Southampton, Durham University and British Antarctic Survey. My PhD research involves reconstructing the retreat of Antarctic Ice Streams over the last 20,000 years. I use a range of tools, including the analysis of sediments and microfossils, to understand the style of past ice stream retreat and the controlling mechanisms. Prior to starting my PhD, I carried out a 4 year MSci course in Geological Oceanography at Bangor University.
